Board Meeting Minutes
December 19, 2006, 11:40am

Members Present: Donna Baur, Ramona Christensen, Donna Crock, Pat Newbern, Tim Tyler, Rich Wilson, Barb Thomasee.

Meeting was called to order: By President, Rich Wilson at 11:40 a.m.

Minutes: Donna Crock moved to accept the Minutes of the November 21, 2006 Board Meeting, as submitted. Motion seconded by Tim Tyler. Motion Carried.

Treasurer’s Report: Ramona Christensen presented the December Treasurer’s Report with checking account deposits of $405.00, disbursements of $440.38, and a balance of $2,527.92. Term Share account Investments total were $10,508.42, for a current balance ending December 1, 2006 of $13,036.34.

Committee Reports -

Education: Barb Thomasee and Donna Crock reported letters and E-Mails have been sent to all of the State High Schools with information about our scholarships.

 Membership: Rich reported the ARMA membership E-Mail renewal-reminder process appears to be working well.

Newsletter: Donna Baur reported she would have the next newsletter out with all the new updates.

Programs: Rich reported our December 5th General Meeting/Holiday dinner at Sanford’s went well. Everyone enjoyed sharing the time together, relaxing, and their dinner. Our January General meeting will be held at the Hitching Post on Wednesday, January 17th at 11:30 a.m. ARMA International President Susan McKinney will be visiting our Chapter and give a presentation. Donna moved our Chapter to share costs for Susan’s visit up to $150.00, seconded by Ramona. Motion passed. Paula Sutton our Region Manager will report to us the specifics as soon as Susan’s travel plans have been finalized.

Web Site: Donna Crock reported she continues to update our site with meeting minutes, program information, and updates as received.

Old Business: Rich reported our February Seminar is coming along. Donna Crock has requested additional information from Jesse for our brochure and has forwarded the contract to him. Donna has requested Jesse to E-Mail the information to Pat, as Donna will be out of town over the Holidays. Donna Crock related approximately $690.00 has been received for our charity in Cheyenne for the family whose daughter has TARS syndrome. Donna has purchased various certificates that may be used while the parents are in Denver (while their daughter is in the hospital) or can be redeemed when they return to Cheyenne.

New Business: Donna Crock reminded everyone of Vicki Seal’s retirement. Following discussion, Donna motioned we spend up to $50.00 for a retirement gift for Vicki, and Barb Thomasee seconded. Motion passed. Rich then brought up a donation be sent to Cheyenne Davis Center Hospice in memory of Pat Newbern’s father. Donna Crock so motioned, seconded by Barbara Thomasee. Motion passed. Barb Thomasee gave a report about a moneymaking project calendar being put together for the DOT Employee Relief Fund. The DOT Employee Relief Fund has been set up so employees may apply for up to $400.00 during emergencies or need. Options available include buying and advertising square for$150.00 and $.50 per line for the 2008 calendar. The cut off is September 15th. No action was taken at this time. Discussion followed regarding a February meeting. With our Seminar slated for the first part of March, it was agreed a February meeting would not be necessary.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 12:30 p.m.

Next Board meeting will be held January 23rd at 11:30 a.m., at the City of Cheyenne Building.
