Board Meeting Minutes
November 15, 2005 11:30 a.m.

Members Present: Kristy Anderson, Donna Baur (by phone), Ramona Christensen, Donna Crock, Wendy Kinkade, Vicki Nemecek, Barb Thomasee, and Rich Wilson. Absent: Valerie Roybal.

Minutes: Donna Crock moved to approve the October 24, 2005 Board meeting minutes, seconded by Kristy Anderson. Motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report: Ramona Christensen presented the November 2005 Treasurer’s Report showing a balance of $13,194.93 which includes term share accounts. Ramona reported there are still no member deposits from ARMA to our checking account. We received a thank you letter from Girls Actively Participating for our $25 contribution. Also, the UW scholarship check has not yet cleared the bank.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

Education: Barb Thomasee reported that scholarship letters and E-mails have been sent. Reminders will go by E-mail only. Rich contacted the schools and they all seem interested. Barb received a request for an updated application and will forward the website to them.

Membership: Kristy Anderson reported for Valerie Roybal. Mary Bausserman sent in her membership in September. Headquarters said they didn’t get it. We sent them a copy of the cancelled check for follow-up. Discussion included the idea to have new members submit their dues to the chapter and we then forward dues to ARMA International. Rich will E-mail Cheryl & Susan to voice our membership concerns. Discussion followed on recruiting “99” chapter members. Rich, Kristy and Donna Crock will contact possible members.

Newsletter: Donna Baur needs information for the new member corner. Rich will ask Pat Newbern to e-mail Donna her info.

Programs/Public Relations: Wendy Kinkade reminded everyone the December meeting will be the Christmas party. It is scheduled at Poor Richard’s on December 6, 2005. RSVP date is December 5, 2005. This will be a family event held in the evening. Rich will send a letter to all chapter members inviting them to the party. January 18, 2006, the ARMA President will be here. Rich will take care of the audiovisual requirements. Wendy will set up the Hitching Post for the presentation. The seminar will be held on February 10, 2005.

Web Site: Donna Crock will update the program portion of the website this week.

OLD BUSINESS:

Wendy Kinkade has had no response from Wright, Wyoming, concerning our request to provide a charitable contribution. Kristy Anderson moved, seconded by Donna Crock, we take $100 we approved for the Wright Wyoming charity contribution and apply it to the Respite Programs. Respite Programs helps disabled children who need in home care. Motion carried. Donna Baur will put an item in the newsletter.

Rich Wilson reported on the seminar. Pat Newbern is working on the brochure. The break is scheduled for 15-minutes in the morning. The silent auction will open in the morning. He’ll get the draft brochures out as soon as possible. The City will print the brochures. The County will pay the postage. The State Archives will print handouts.

Wendy Kinkade suggested future programs could include Jim Angel as a speaker, Echostar and a Preservation Tour later in the year.

NEW BUSINESS:

None.

Next Board Meeting: The next board meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2005, City of Cheyenne Municipal Building conference room, Room 208 at 11:30 a.m.
