Board Meeting Minutes
November 21, 2006, 11:40am
Members Present: Kristy Anderson, Donna Baur, Ramona Christensen, Donna Crock, Pat Newbern, Rich Wilson, Barb Thomasee.
Meeting was called to order: By President, Rich Wilson at 11:40 a.m.
Minutes: Kristy Anderson moved to accept the Minutes of the November 1, 2006 Board Meeting as corrected, and the November 14, 2006 General Meeting as submitted. Motion seconded by Donna Crock. Motion Carried.
Treasurer’s Report: Ramona Christensen presented the November Treasurer’s Report with checking account deposits of $145.00, disbursements of $215.38, and a balance of $2,563.30. Term Share account Investments total were $10,508.42, for a current balance ending November 1, 2006 of $13,071.72.
Committee Reports -
Education: Barb Thomasee reported Donna Crock has sent out E-Mails to all of the State High School Principals with information about our scholarships. Membership: Rich asked for comment regarding the new ARMA membership E-Mail renewal-reminder process. Everyone felt it has in fact, improved. Rich added the ARMA Region Managers will also be contacted regarding renewals and he continue to tract renewals and keep the Board updated.
Newsletter: Donna Baur reported she would have the newsletter out next week with all the new updates.
Programs: Kristy reported December 5th General Meeting is scheduled for upstairs at Sanford’s to begin at 6:00 p.m. Sanford’s has agreed to allow separate checks and will waive the room fee. ARMA International President Susan McKinney will be visiting at our January 17th General meeting. This will be held at the Hitching Post. Our Chapter will share costs for Susan’s visit to Cheyenne and Rich will check with Paula Sutton for specifics.
Web Site: Donna Crock reported she continues to update our site with meeting minutes, program information, and updates as received.
Old Business: Rich brought up our February Seminar with additional information Donna Crock had compiled through her E-Mails and the Seminar day schedule. Following discussion regarding a title for our workshop, general agreement among the board was: “Finding Solutions: Teamwork for Information Technology and Records Management”. Donna will check with Jesse regarding a lighter topic for the fourth session. Kristy related the County has agreed to pay for postage and the City has agreed to print the brochures. Kristy added CRM credits would be available for attending our Seminar. Kristy handed out handed out a draft for our Christmas Gathering flyer with additional information of our 2006 Charities and ask for comment. Following discussion, Kristy will amend the back of the flier to include our donation of $100.00 to the Capitol City Search and Rescue.
Rich gave an update per Tony Adams, regarding the upcoming SHRAB sponsored two-day workshop April 26 & 27, 2007 with Dr. Mark Langemo. WY ARMA has agreed to assist SHRAB in these educational opportunities. Rich will verify with Tony as to our expected responsibilities.
New Business: There being no new business, the meeting was adjourned at 1:15 p.m.
Next Board meeting will be held December 19th at 11:30 a.m., at the Department of Transportation, with Barb Thomasee and Tim Tyler hosting.
