Annual Business and Awards Dinner Meeting

After enjoying a Social Hour and deliciously prepared Dinner, Kristy Anderson opened the meeting by welcoming everyone in attendance. Kristy reflected upon the accomplishments of the Chapter during the last year including our programs with interesting guest speakers; several tours of various facilities including Lowe's Distribution Center and the Fire Training Facility. Our annual seminar on Ethics in Records Management, Privacy Issues and Identity Theft brought in over $3900.00 with 58 attendees. Also, the addition of the Silent Auction held during the seminar raised $251.25 toward the scholarship fund. The Chapter awarded two $500.00 scholarships this year. The Chapter contributed to various philanthropic projects and worked with other groups in the state to promote records and information management. Kristy noted that the chapter currently has 31 members.

Ramona Christensen presented a brief accounting of the Treasurer's Report and Balance Sheet. The Chapter started out with a balance of $3844.92 as of 7/1/03 and ended with a balance $4010.03 as of 6/1/04 in the checking account. Expenses for the year were $7233.99. Revenues for the year were $7379.10. The Term Share Accounts have balances of $5260.12 (#4396) an $4000.00 (#8435) and the Share Savings Account has a balance of $2125.50, for a total Checking and Share Account balance of $15,395.65 as of 6/1/04.

Donna Crock presented the awards to recognize the work of the Board members for the last year, which included the distribution of Certificates of Appreciation to Barb Thomasee, Rich Wilson and Wendy Kinkade . Plaque attachments were presented to Ramona Christensen, Deanne Widauf, Rich Wilson and Vicci Carter. Special Certificates of Appreciation were presented to Kristy Anderson (City Clerk's Office) for printing our annual seminar brochure, Lesley Espinosa (Holland and Hart) for providing the meeting place for our board meetings and for mailing our monthly newsletters, Tony Adams (Wyoming State Archives) for our conference mailing and Records Management Week display, Vicki Seals and Valerie Roybal for their participation on various committees. Longevity pins were presented to Kristy Anderson and Valerie Roybal (10 years). Kristy Anderson presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Donna Crock for doing a superb job as Webmaster. Chapter member of the year was awarded to Wendy Kinkade for her excellent contribution and participation in chapter activities during the year.

Kristy Anderson announced the slate of officers for the upcoming chapter year. They are: Kristy Anderson-President, Rich Wilson-Vice President, Ramona Christensen-Secretary, Deanne Widauf-Treasurer, Wendy Kinkade-Membership/Programs/Public Relations, Barbara Thomasee-Education, Donna Baur-Newsletter and Donna Crock-Chairperson of the Board/Webmaster. Kristy asked for any additional nominations from the floor. Wendy Kinkade, seconded by Tony Adams, nominated Valerie Roybal as Membership Chair. Motion carried. Tony Adams, seconded by Vicki Seals, moved to approve the slate of officers with the addition of Valerie Roybal as Membership Chair for 2004-2005. Motion carried.
