Topic: “Recap of ARMA International Baltimore Conference” Members and guests met in rooms 1141/1142 of the Cheyenne Business Center Building for the purpose of attending a Webinar hosted by the Cheyenne ARMA Chapter. Various individuals that attended the conference were introduced by President Donna Crock who made presentations on a number of topics that had been part of the Baltimore Conference.

Pat Newbern discussed the topic “Records Management Programs Exposed’ which was a mock trial regarding the topic of records retention and how improper retention of records could result in potential disclosure problems during litigation.

Janie Wait discussed the topic of Media conversions from paper to microfilm to digital and the reverse of this process.

Ramona Christensen discussed Electronic Records Management and the current and future markets available along with the potential risks.

Connie Rothwell talked about the structural management of digital records.

Rich Wilson gave an overview of the competencies objectives that were discussed in Baltimore and how they will effect future certifications of record managers across the country. Rich also asked for a reaction from those attending the Conference and the response was that it was very well organized and well received by those that had gone.

Donna closed the meeting by thanking all that had presented and those that had attended and to please provide comments and suggestions to her e-mail as there may be a possibility for a future webinar if this seems to be another way to communicate to members.

Meeting was adjourned at 12:50 pm.
