Regional director gave some brief comments about the upcoming Baltimore Conference. Paula introduced International ARMA President Carol Choksy. Carol is Adjunct Professor, School of Library and Information Science, Indiana University, Bloomington.
Carol Choksy gave an informative Power Point presentation titled ‘History of records management and its impact on government and commerce’. Carol’s presentation chronicled the history of records from the period of the caveman to the present time. She expressed the fact that managing records is as old as government itself. Records management has gone through the life cycle of creation and capture of records to the retention, disposition and archiving of records.
